SafeDice touts itself that it is the most competitive dice site as it claims to have the lowest variable house edge. It offers a relatively simple game but is provably fair and supports anonymous online monero or bitcoin betting.

There are actually quite a few things that make SafeDice an interesting alternative to consider if you want to try another dice gambling. It’s not really a new dice site but has been updated to address complaints in the past and aim to offer a better experience.

In addition to the notably low house edge, SafeDice’s list of attractive features includes the option for players to invest in the game or provide the bankroll, instant and anonymous player registration, and a real-time off-chain betting system. The site also features a quick deposits and withdrawals, an auto betting feature, and good account and transaction security. Moreover, SafeDice offers a generous referral or affiliate program.

SafeDice Homepage

Account Registration

Just like some of the other dice gambling sites we have already reviewed, SafeDice does not require player registration. To play, you just have to enter your alias. You will then get a unique URL that will serve as your access to your account. You will find this unique URL, referred to as your “secret link” under the Settings (or Personal) page. Be sure to copy this unique URL as it is the only way through which you can access your account again, unless you set up a username and password for your account.

Just like 999Dice and a number of other dice sites we have already reviewed, you also have the option to convert your account into a traditional SafeDice account that can be accessed using a username and password. To do this, you just have to go to the Settings page and find the Set Username and Password section. You may also enter your bitcoin or monero wallet address. This address will be used as the recipient address when sending your balance in case something goes wrong with the SafeDice system.

SafeDice Account Registration

Account Dashboard

The SafeDice account dashboard is just the usual interface you see in other sites. The Settings page serves as your profile page, although there’s really nothing much about you here. You will only see your secret link and sections for adding a username, password, and emergency bitcoin or monero address. It took us some time to locate the Cashier page since we expected the link for it to be located just beside the links for the Settings. It’s actually on the game interface itself: the pair of Deposit and Withdraw buttons on the upper right corner of the SafeDice game interface.

SafeDice Settings Page

The SafeDice Game

The SafeDice game is similar to most other dice sites. To play, you have to make your deposit and proceed to entering your bet amount and do the changes you want with the Winning Chance and Payout. You then have to decide if you want to bet “Hi” or “Lo” before clicking on the Roll button. The Payout number, by the way, is the multiplier for computing your prize, not the prize itself if you win a game.

SafeDice Game

The game is just like most other dice games. Some animation may make it a little better but there’s nothing to complain about. The game is always responsive—unless it goes offline. Take note of the connection status indicator on the upper right right corner of the site.

SafeDice Disconnection Problem

If it’s red, it means you are not connected. It’s white when connected. However, we found out that when it goes red, it does not return to white even when the game is actually already online, unless you refresh the page. SafeDice’s development team should do something about this.

SafeDice does not have a demo version or a Play for Fun mode but you can actually play without making a deposit. As such, we can include SafeDice in our list of free bitcoin casino sites. To play without making a deposit, you just have to enter 0 in the bet amount and you can proceed to playing. You will be able to roll the dice and see your game result. You will also be able to see your game listed in the table of most recently played games. But of course, since your bet amount is 0, you will also get 0 if you win or lose.

SafeDice Game Software, Fairness, and House Edge

SafeDice appears to be using its proprietary game software, which is designed to be provably fair. It has a page devoted to presenting all the information you need to verify the fairness of the game. It presents the server seed hash, nonce, and account seed, along with details on how to do the verification and the verification code that can be used so you can do your own testing. SafeDice supports “instant verification,” by allowing you to quickly generate a new server seed after you click on the Update button in the form on the Provably Fair page of the site.

SafeDice Is Provably Fair

SafeDice employs a variable house edge system, which is being touted as something better than a flat house edge. The default house edge is 0.5% but it can go higher at the expense of having a lower profit percentage of the bankroll. With SafeDice, you can play with a higher house edge but you can win bigger prizes by doing so. As mentioned in the Games section of this SafeDice review, the house edge gets automatically adjusted when the game numbers are changed. However, what triggers a change in the house edge is actually just the Max Win amount. If the Max Win amount is equivalent to 0.5% of the bankroll, the game is set to follow a 1% house edge. SafeDice employs a 0.5 kelly system. As such, the house edge is expected to always double the ratio of the Max Win to the bankroll. The maximum house edge is set at 10%.
SafeDice Is Mobile Friendly

SafeDice Is Mobile-Friendly

There should be no problems if you plan on playing SafeDice with your smartphone or tablet. SafeDice is similar to most other bitcoin mobile bitcoin casino sites. If you load it on a mobile browser, it automatically adjusts its layout and the amount of content shown to attain the optimum use of the limited space. SafeDice does not have an app for playing the game on Android, iOS, and Windows mobile devices but the mobile-friendly site should already be enough to provide a good enough mobile gaming experience.

Currencies, Deposits, and Withdrawals

SafeDice only uses two currencies—or cryptocurrencies to be more accurate. These are bitcoins (BTC) and moneros (XMR).

Before you get to play, you will be asked to choose which particular cryptocurrency you want to play with. This does not mean, though, that you will be stuck with just one currency. You can quickly switch to another currency through the currency toggle near the upper left corner of the site (BTC or XMR).

Deposits and withdrawals are on a wallet-to-wallet basis. If you want to make a deposit, click on the Deposit button on the game interface. You will be given your assigned bitcoin wallet address. Send bitcoins to this address and wait for 1 confirmation to have the amount reflected in your account balance.

You can see your account balance by clicking on the chart icon in between the Play and Invest buttons.

Have a look at the screen below to see your balance screen.

SafeDice Withdrawals

For withdrawals, it’s mostly similar to the setup implemented by other dice sites. You just have to enter your BTC or XMR wallet address and amount to initiate the withdrawal. The slight difference, though, is that you can set two-factor authentication to make sure that only you can withdraw the funds you have in your account.

Bonuses, Promotions, Player Rewards, and Affiliate Program

Unfortunately, SafeDice does not offer bonuses and promotions similar to what most other online bitcoin betting sites offer. Don’t expect a welcome or sign up bonus, first deposit bonus, or reload bonus. SafeDice does not even have a bitcoin faucet. This dice monero and bitcoin betting site also does not offer VIP programs and rewards. You may earn some satoshis or mBTCs by frequenting the chat board (through bot rains and tips from other players) but we are not convinced that this is a good enough alternative for a bitcoin faucet.

SafeDice’s affiliate or player referral program offers a standard commission of 0.1% for every amount wagered by the player you refer. This sounds very small but at the very least, you are guaranteed that you have a share in every bet made by the players you refer. However, you can get 10% of the house edge multiplied by the wagered amount (in lieu of the flat 0.1%) if your referred player plays in a game with a house edge of less than 1%.

Moreover, you can invest in the game or contribute to the bankroll and have the opportunity to earn a share in the profits of SafeDice, in addition to getting commissions through the affiliate program. You just have to go to the Invest tab in the SafeDice game interface. You have the option to choose either of the following risk levels: Conservative (0.5x Kelly), Recommended (1x Kelly), and Aggressive (2x Kelly).

Country Restrictions, Anonymity, and Site Languages

SafeDice does not implement IP blocking. There are no countries prevented from accessing the site, signing for an account, and playing. As such, we can group it among the US-accepted bitcoin casino sites we have reviewed here. However, the standard requirement for online gamblers still apply. Players must be of legal age and they should ascertain that there are no laws in their respective countries or jurisdictions that prohibit online gambling using bitcoins or moneros.

If you want to play dice anonymously online, SafeDice is not a bad option. It does not require personal information from players. It does not even maintain a player profile page. No proofs of identity or address are required when making deposits and withdrawals. It affords players the perks of an anonymous bitcoin casino.

SafeDice is available in three languages: English, Russian, and Chinese.

SafeDice Languages

SafeDice License, Regulation, and Security

The SafeDice website does not provide information pertaining to the site’s online gambling license and regulation. As usual, this is not something we can point out as a major drawback since most other similar websites don’t really present details about their licensing and the government authority that oversees their operations.

When it comes to security, SafeDice guarantees secure player accounts and transactions through SSL encryption and two-factor authentication (2FA). The 2FA security feature is optional so if you want to use it, you have to configure it. The site provides all the details you need to protect your account with two-factor authentication.

SafeDice’s deposited bitcoins or moneros, moreover, are being kept in cold storage to avoid instances of online theft.

SafeDice Player Support

If you want to contact SafeDice for your inquiries or to ask for assistance on technical, administrative, or financial concerns, your main line of communication is the SafeDice email address, which is . If you fail to get a reply, you may also try contacting SafeDice through its official BitcoinTalk thread. This forum appears to be quite active. While waiting for a reply for your email, you may also chat with other SafeDice players in the chatroom. Just click on the Chat Room button on the lower right corner of the site.

Notes and Issues

This SafeDice review, so far, has been mostly positive but we can’t not mention the issues we encountered while doing this review. It took us longer than expected to complete the review because the site kept going down or unresponsive. As we started the review, we couldn’t proceed to creating an account. We had to seek out some feedback or comments from players to come up with something substantive to put in this review. The site also occasionally refused to let us log in.

This is reflected in the most recent comments on BitcoinTalk (at the time this SafeDice review was done). Many players complain about the site going down or refusing to let players sign in. There are also players who had complained about their withdrawals getting delayed or being unable to initiate a withdrawal.

If you are looking for another bitcoin dice or bitcoin betting alternative, you may want to consider BitDice. This licensed bitcoin betting site actually offers more than just dice. It also supports multiple cryptocurrencies.

BitDice is a licensed BTC gambling site that has more than just one game. It still isn’t a full-fledged bitcoin casino, though. At the time we wrote this Bitdice review, the site had only 3 games although it supposedly has 4. The game, additionally, supports 5 cryptocurrencies although deposit and withdrawal transactions are only on a wallet to wallet basis.

BitDice is at the very least a decent option if you are looking for a site for casual bitcoin betting. It offers relatively simple games with good chances of winning. The site is licensed so somehow you can be assured that you will not fall for a scheme or scam with it. The site is worth considering.

BitDice Homepage

Account Registration and Account Dashboard

Like a number of other dice sites, BitDice automatically creates an account for anyone who visits the site, although in a different way. The account is even given a random name. Bitdice “baptized” us as “dasia.mann.” If you don’t like the name given to you, though, you can easily have it changed. You just have to click on the name and a little modal window appears. This modal window essentially serves as the account dashboard, allowing you to change your account name and do other modifications. You can also set up your two-factor authentication and enable Permanent Bet Lock through this window. Moreover, this modal window shows your password (randomly created by the BitDice system) and allows you to change it.

Basically, BitDice provides you a readily created account. As mentioned, the automatic account creation is not tied to a unique URL or personal address. With BitDice, you get an automatically generated traditional account—traditional in the sense that it is an account with a username and password.

The Games on BitDice

Based on the links on the homepage, BitDice supposedly has four games: Dice, Blackjack, BitAce, and Slots.

BitDice Dice Game

The site’s Dice game is the default game shown on the BitDice homepage. It is a usual dice game you may have already encountered before. To play, you just have to enter your bet amount and set your win chance or multiplier. Once you enter the number for your Win Chance, the Profit and Multiplier numbers automatically get adjusted. Similarly, if you enter a number for your Multiplier, the Profit and Win Chance figures are adjusted.

You may use hotkeys for the dice game. Enable them by clicking on the Turn on Hotkeys link right below the Deposit and Cashout buttons to the left. The hotkey indicators will then appear on the commonly used buttons of the game after your click the Turn on Hotkeys link.

BitDice’s Blackjack game is a typical blackjack game with 8 decks reshuffled every hand. It pays 3 to 2 and the dealer hits soft 17. The minimum and maximum bets are 0.0001 BTC and 0.496 BTC respectively. The game also has hotkeys. They are readily indicated on the buttons you would usually use in playing the game.

Lastly, BitDice has a great selection of slot games. See below for a sample from their selection.

BitDice Game Platform, Fairness, and House Edge

BitDice does not rely on software or games provided by casino game providers such as RTG or SoftSwiss. It uses its own proprietary software or platform, which fortunately makes for provably fair games. If you click on your account name and click on the Change Seeds link, you will open a modal window for viewing or changing the server seed, server seed hash, and client seed.

All bets come with their respective bet information pages. These pages provide various information including the user seed, bet hash, secret hash, and secret. You can proceed to testing the fairness of the game results by using the information provided in these pages.

BitDice touts a low house edge of 1%. It’s not the lowest among the other similar sites we have already reviewed but it’s attractive enough.

Bitdice mobileBitDice Is Mobile-Friendly

BitDice has a mobile-friendly website, which is the result of a responsive web design, not a separate mobile website version. The site should look good across devices with different display sizes. We did not find a difference in the performance of the site and games when loaded on mobile browsers, as compared to being loaded on a desktop.

BitDice does not have an app for playing the games on iOS, Android, or Windows smartphones and tablets but the mobile-friendly site already suffices in providing a good enough mobile gaming experience.

Currencies, Deposits, and Withdrawals

As already mentioned in the introductory part of this BitDice review, this site accepts multiple cryptocurrencies. These cryptocurrencies are bitcoin (BTC), dash (DASH), litecoin (LTC), clams (CLAM), and ethereum (ETH). Deposits and withdrawals are on a wallet-to-wallet basis. If you are not that familiar with bitcoins yet, the Deposit interface has guides on how you can get bitcoins.

To make a deposit, you will have to generate a bitcoin wallet address for your account. This address can be used several times. The minimum deposit (similar to the minimum bet amount in the case of BitDice) is 0.00001 BTC. Deposits are reflected on your account after one confirmation (for most cryptocurrencies). If you deposit using CLAM and ETH, at least 3 confirmations are required.

For withdrawals, you simply have to click on the Cashout button to bring out the withdrawal form that will ask you to enter the amount you want to withdraw and the bitcoin wallet address where your withdrawn bitcoins are to be sent. Every cashout transaction will cost you 0.0002 BTC or the equivalent amount in other cryptocurrencies.

In case you have bitcoins but you want to play using other cryptocurrencies, you can use the Swap Currency function on BitDice. At the time we were doing this BitDice review, though, the Swap Currency function was only available to BTC, DOGE, LTC, and ETH. Also, this Swap Currency feature uses the Bittrex Market rate and does not provide refunds.

BitDice Currency Swap

Bonuses, Promotions, Player Rewards, and Investment

Unfortunately, if you are looking for a first deposit bonus, reload bonus, or welcome and sign up bonus, you can’t get any from BitDice. The site does not have bonuses and promotions. Also, it does not have a referral or affiliate program. However, BitDice has a “Levels” scheme, which is comparable to a number of VIP programs and rewards given by other online casinos. Players on BitDice can advance to a higher level by placing more bets. The wager amounts needed to achieve the different levels in the game are as shown below:

bitddice levels

Higher player levels mean higher shares in the free coins granted by the site’s rainbot. Yes, compensating for the lack of bonuses is BitDice’s rainbot. For the uninitiated, the rainbot is not something synonymous to a bitcoin faucet. It is a scheme that grants free coins to players based on the tips given by some players. The granting of free coins by the rainbot is unannounced. It depends on the generosity of the players on the site. If you want to send “rain” (free bitcoins through the chat board) to other players, you just have to use the following command: “/rain (amount).” When a player sends a rain, a minimum of 0.0001 BTC is required.

BitDice, moreover, provides players the opportunity to invest in the game, to fund the site’s bankroll. If you don’t have the luck to win in the games, you may want to contribute to the bankroll and earn profits from players’ losses. Investors can choose their Kelly level, from 0.5 to 10 (default is 1, which means a maximum of 1% is risked). For example, with a Kelly level of 1, you invested 100 and the player wins, your 100 is reduced to 99. If later on the player loses, your 99 will earn .99 so your new investment balance will rise to 99.99. On the other hand, if the player loses, your 100 investment will rise to 101 and rise to 102.1 if the player loses once more. The investment rises or gets reduced at a rate of 1% based on the running balance.

Country Restrictions, Anonymity, and Site Languages

BitDice does not implement an IP filtering system. Everyone who wishes to engage in some casual bitcoin betting is welcome to try BitDice. It can be considered a US-accepted bitcoin casino. However, although there’s nothing mentioned on the site regarding the qualifications of players, we would like to presume in this BitDice review that the standard requirements for online casinos apply (i.e. players should be of legal age and that there should be no legal prohibitions against online gambling in the country or jurisdiction where the player resides).

If anonymity is a big factor for you, you will be glad to know that BitDice supports anonymous playing. Your personal details will not be required as you play on the site. BitDice is just like every other anonymous bitcoin casino that allows you to keep your identity, especially as you only use cryptocurrency to play.

The BitDice website only has an English language version.

BitDice Player Support

Support on BitDice is provided through email. If you have questions or if you need assistance as you play on the site, contact BitDice’s support team through bitdice@protonmail.ch. The site does not provide live chat or telephone support. It is not indicated whether or not 24/7 customer support is available. We assume it isn’t since we did not get a quick response when we made an inquiry on a Sunday.

You may also contact BitDice through its official Twitter account.

BitDice License, Regulation, and Security

BitDice is a registered online gambling operation governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Its full name is BitDice Casino S.L.R. It operates unders registration ID# 3-102-636267.

There is nothing being emphasized regarding the security on BitDice but we want to point out in this BitDice review that there’s an option to enable two-factor authentication. That should provide good protection for accounts. Also, the site appears to limit access to the games to just one instance. If you open the site in another tab, the other tab gets disconnected. As such, you can’t open your account in two places or even in two windows or tabs in the same computer. We also like to commend the “instant traditional account” BitDice provides, instead of the usual unique-url-protected ones used by other dice sites. With BitDice’s automatically generated traditional account, you get an account that is readily password-protected. You just have to change the account name and password, and enable two factor authentication to make the account totally yours.

Notes

BitDice may not offer all of the features and advantages of a full-blown BTC gambling site but it offers a few things that make it worth a try, especially for new bitcoin betting enthusiasts. The support for multiple cryptocurrencies, fast account registration, support for player anonymity, provably fair system, and the fact that the site is licensed make BitDice a good option.

Pros

  • Good intuitive games with simple mechanics
  • Provides an option to invest in the bankroll (chance to earn as players on the site lose)
  • Provably fair
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Anonymous gambling

Cons

  • Limited games
  • No bitcoin faucet
  • No bonuses and promotions

999dice Review

999Dice is another dice only gambling site. It accepts multiple cryptocurrencies. It features a simple dice game. However, it distinguishes itself from other games because of its astoundingly low house edge of only 0.1%. This means that the site has a payout rate of 99.9%, hence the name.

999Dice uses this 0.1% house edge as its main selling point. On its website, it highlights how most other dice sites have significantly bigger house edge. That’s 0.1% versus 1% or 1/10 of what others are offering. You still need to achieve a certain player level to be able to avail of the lower house edge. With 999 Dice, the 0.1% house edge is a constant. It is the house edge right from the very moment you start playing.

Additionally, 999Dice offers the advantages of not imposing service charges except for the built-in transaction fees during bitcoin deposits and withdrawals. Deposits also don’t need to be confirmed before they are credited to a player’s account. Most withdrawals are completed almost immediately. Moreover, the game’s bankroll is funded by private investors. 999Dice projects a sense of being a dependable and trustworthy gambling site because it does not have to resort to player contributions to maintain the bankroll.

Get to know more about this interesting cryptocurrency dice gambling site by going over our in-depth 999Dice review.

999Dice Homepage

Account Registration

It took us some time before we could clearly grasp the account registration setup on 999Dice. It’s not because it was difficult to find the section where you can register for an account. It’s because we couldn’t be sure if 999Dice.com automatically provides an account secured by a unique URL, just like what many other similar sites do.

At first glance, it would appear that an account has been automatically created because of the player statistics displayed above and the deposit address readily shown on the homepage. However, we got confused because couldn’t find the unique URL and the account registration tab appears to offer a method for converting a unique-url-protected account into a standard account or securing the account with a username and password.

Long story short, there is no automatic account creation associated with a unique URL. Account registration on 999Dice.com is basically similar to how it is done with traditional gambling sites, although significantly easier. You only need to enter your desired username and password. That’s all! You can get an account in a couple or so seconds. You quickly get a prompt whether or not you successfully created an account.

You then have the option to set up two-factor authentication. There are also options to change your display name and attach an identity

We have to note in this 999Dice site, though, that we couldn’t proceed with the account registration using Firefox. We had to switch to Chrome to get our account registered. We thought it was due to the script blocking extension we had on Firefox but we tried temporarily disabling the script blocker and we still couldn’t proceed to having an account registered.

Account Dashboard

The account dashboard is basically the same as the account registration interface. Nothing much changes after you sign up for an account and log in. Nothing really changes except for your ability to log in using your nominated username and password. This can be somewhat confusing so to be sure that you are really logged into your account or to make sure that you have properly logged out, be sure to check the Account tab.  If you can see your nominated username along with the line “Your login name is…” after refreshing the page, you have already logged into your account or you are still logged into your account. You can also scroll below (in the Account tab) and see if there’s a Logout button. Obviously, if you can see a Logout button, that only means that you are still logged into your account. We wish 999Dice’s creators could do something about this setup to make it more obvious whether or not you have already logged in or out.

999Dice Account Dashboard

The 999Dice Game

As mentioned, 999Dice only has one game. It’s just a basic dice game. You only have to choose your Bet Size and your % Chance to Win. Your possible Win Profit will then be automatically shown.

You only have two bets for the game. It’s either you Bet Low or you Bet High. A number between from 0 to 999,999 is randomly generated. If you Bet Low, that means you predict that the resulting dice number will be from 0 to 49,999. If you Bet High, the resulting number should be from 950,000 to 999,999. If the resulting number is between 50,000 to 949,999, that means there’s no chance for you to have won because those numbers are not within either Bet Low or Bet High ranges.

The winning numbers only total to 100,000 (the total of the numbers 0 to 49,999 and 950,000 to 999,999). From 0 to 999,999, you have 1 million numbers. However, you can only win if the result is 0 to 49,999 (50,000 possibilities out of 1 million) if you Bet Low or 950,000 to 999,999 if you Bet High. That means there are 950,000 possibilities (900,000 non-winning numbers plus the 50,000 non-winning number when you bet either High or Low) out of 1 million that you can’t win.

999Dice Game

We’re not sure how to statistically express these possibilities of winning but to make it simple, let’s discuss the numbers as lettered clusters. Let’s say the numbers 0 to 49,999 is cluster A while the numbers 950,000 to 999,999 is cluster T. In the 999Dice universe, there are only 20 clusters namely A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, and T. Only A and T are winning clusters. If you Bet High, you will only win if you get T. That’s a 1/20 chance. If you Bet Low, you must only get A to win, also a 1/20 chance.

999Dice Game Interface, Software, Fairness, and House Edge

The game interface is very simple. It’s just buttons and texts with black backdrop. There’s nothing attractive about it but it shouldn’t be a drawback if you are just in for some straightforward dice game. You have three columns on the game interface. The first is for the Bet Size, the second for the Chance to Win and the third for the Win Profit details. There are corresponding keyboard shortcuts for the buttons. These keyboard shortcuts are indicated on the buttons. To activate these shortcuts, just go to the Account tab and check the option to “Allow bet changes using keyboard,” “Allow setting max bet size using keyboard,” and “Allow bets using keyboard.”

We would like to assume that the software used here is proprietary since there is nothing mentioned about the site using software provided by other companies. The good news is that this software makes for a provably fair game. There’s a Fair Bets tab in the game, which presents a guide on how the game results can be tested for fairness.

As already stated in the introductory part of this 999Dice review, the house edge for the game is only 0.1%, making the payout rate an enticing 99.9%.

999Dice Is Mobile Friendly

999Dice Is Mobile-Friendly!

If you want to playe 999Dice on your smartphone or tablet, feel free to do so. The site is mobile-friendly. You also don’t need a Flash extension for your browser to be able to play. There are no dedicated iOS, Android, or Windows mobile apps available to play the 999Dice game but the mobile-friendly website should already be enough to address this lack.

Currencies, Deposits, Withdrawals, and Bet Particulars

999Dice uses bitcoins (BTC), dogecoins (DOGE), and litecoins (LTC).

You can quickly make a deposit by sending bitcoins, dogecoins, or litecoins to the addresses indicated on the site. Deposits don’t need to be confirmed to be reflected on your account. However, for withdrawals, at least 1 deposit confirmation is required. Two confirmations will be needed for larger withdrawal requests. The minimum withdrawal limit is set at 0.0002 BTC. There’s a 0.0001 BTC standard fee for every withdrawal transaction.

All transactions are from wallet to wallet, from your bitcoin/dogecoin/litecoin wallet to the deposit address given on the website, vice versa for withdrawals.

999Dice Deposis and Withdrawals

No Demo Mode But a Free BTC/DOGE/LTC Faucet Is Available

Unfortunately, there is no Demo mode or Play for Fun version of the 999Dice game. You really need real cryptocurrency in your balance to play. There’s a “Practice Bets” tab but it still requires you to make a bitcoin deposit. It’s a good thing that the site has a free bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin faucet. Just click on the “Free Bitcoin” or “Free Dogecoin” or “Free Litecoin” button so you can claim your free cryptocurrency. This faucet system uses a CAPTCHA system. It grants 0.000002 BTC, 0.02 DOGE, or 0.00002 LTC every five minutes. If you have already obtained free BTC from the faucet, you have to wait for 5 minutes to get free BTC (again) or free DOGE or LTC.

No Bonuses and Promotions, Only an Affiliate Program

Again, just like most other single-game bitcoin gambling sites, 999Dice does not offer bonuses and promotions. It only has an affiliate program.

This affiliate program grants 50% of the house edge of every bet made by the player you referred to the site. Since the house bet is only 0.1%, you are bound to get 0.05% (50% of 0.1%) of all the bets made by the player you referred. The affiliate link is readily presented on the site, under the Earn Referral BTCs tab. There’s no need for a separate registration for the affiliate program.

999Dice Player Support

Even though 999Dice only provides player support through an online message sending form, we are glad to report in this 999Dice review that we at least receive a reply when we sent an inquiry. The online message sending form actually has only a field for the content. You can’t enter your email address in it. That’s why if you want to get a response, you need to include your email address in your message or you need to sign up for an account (which requires your email address) so that the replies to you can be directed to your email address

999Dice License, Regulation, Security, and Player Anonymity

There’s no information presented on 999Dice’s website regarding its license and the government body regulating its online gambling operations. It’s not that different from the many other single-game cryptocurrency gambling sites we have reviewed earlier, though. That’s why we are not that keen in pointing out the lack of licensing information as a drawback in this 999Dice review.

Also, we can pinpoint security issues with 999Dice. It’s good that it actually provides the option to set up two factor authentication. We just wish the setup for signing in and out of your account is made clearer. We would appreciate a big Sign In / Register button on the upper right corner of the site instead of keeping (or seemingly hiding) all of the account registration and login interfaces under the Account tab.

For player anonymity, we can safely say that 999Dice supports anonymous online gambling. The site does not demand personal details from players. Players are also not obliged to update their profiles.

Countries Served and Site Languages

We are were initially unsure if 999Dice accepts players from all parts of the world, especially in the United States. There is no list of restricted countries presented on the site. Just to be sure, though, observe the standard requirements for almost all online casinos: (1) you must be at least 18 years old or of legal age and (2) you should ascertain that there are no laws in your country that prohibit the betting of cryptocurrency in sites like 999Dice. 999Dice has no Terms and Conditions page that says that your account will be terminated or your winnings will be forfeited if you play from a certain country or state.

We contacted 999Dice’s admin to clarify its service to players in the United States. We are elated to have received a straightforward and apparently honest reply. Accordingly, 999Dice does not have “connections to the United States” and that nobody in the United States i involved in the operation of this site. The site has no infrastructure in the US and is not actively soliciting players from America.

Here’s an excerpt of the email we got from 999Dice:

“All that being said, it would be a futile effort to try to try to block all Americans from even accessing our website, far beyond our technological capabilities. So we just do our best to steer clear of anything American.

An Interesting side-note: a large chunk of Russian speaking players actually use web proxies in the USA to access our website.

In any case, I can’t claim to know the American laws better than the rumors I hear that they don’t allow online gambling for their citizens. If you’re American, I’d encourage you to obey your laws.”

The 999Dice website can be viewed in multiple languages namely English, Chinese, Lithuanian, Spanish, Croatian, Bahasa Indonesia, Polish, Turkish, Russian, German, and—we’re not sure if we can take this seriously—Klingon (the language of the eponymous fictional warrior species in Star Trek).

Primedice has one big bold claim. It proclaims itself to be the “undisputed #1 bitcoin gambling website and casino.” We always take a heavy dose of skepticism every time we encounter bitcoin gambling sites like this for obvious reasons. Still, we acknowledge that many of these sites are not necessarily bad. They are fond of making excessive claims but they may still offer something worthwhile.

Primedice started operations in May 2013 and is considered as one of the pioneers of dice bitcoin gambling. It has since grown into a good bitcoin gambling site that is regarded for the gaming experience and features it offers. It cites more than 300 pages of positive feedback on the Bitcointalk forums to claim that it is “the undisputed most popular and trusted bitcoin game in the world.”

Interestingly, at the time we started writing this review, the site reported that it already handled more than 10.5 million bets in the last 24 hours and nearly 700 BTC has been won. There’s something unusual with these numbers, though. We have to point out that these numbers apparently don’t represent the real number of bets within 24 hours on the site and the total BTC won in the last 24 hours. These numbers seem to just randomly change. They don’t reset after 24 hours (it took us some time to complete this Primedice review so we were able to carefully observe these numbers). These relatively high numbers supposedly indicate how popular Primedice is but they don’t seem accurate.

Well, that’s not a major issue with this bitcoin gambling site, though. To learn more about the more important aspects of Primedice, go over our in-depth Primedice review.

Primedice Homepage

Account Registration

Signing up for a Primedice account does not involve a typical sign-up process. As you load the website, you will be asked to enter your name and tick the tick box to signify that you are at least 18 years old and that you agree with the site’s Terms and Conditions. Once you enter your name, you will be brought to your account dashboard (to the left) and the game interface (occupying most of the page).

This is officially your account. You then have to set a password for it and add an email address. You also have the option to set two-factor authentication to make the account even more secure. If you fail to set a password for your account and you closed the Primedice tab or window (without closing your web browser), you can still return to your account by just loading the Primedice website again. However, if you have already closed your browser (with the Primedice cookies deleted), you can no longer access your account. You will have to contact customer support to gain access to the account.

Overall, this account registration process works for us. It would have been better, though, if Primedice displays a prompt that prevents you from closing the page and reminds you to enter your password in case you have not set a password for your account yet.

Account Dashboard

We examined the account dashboard and there’s nothing in it that requires you to reveal your identity. It’s a basic dashboard although there are some differences you may notice when you compare it to the dashboards of traditional online casinos. For instance, there’s a part that asks you to set an emergency address. This is actually for your bitcoin address. It is recommended that you add your bitcoin address here since there might be instances when Primedice will have to send your account balance to you.

It shouldn’t be difficult figuring out how the Primedice account dashboard works. It’s intuitive and highly responsive. You can also view a log of all your transactions.

The Primedice Game

So here we come to the most important part of this Primedice review: the assessment of the game. How does this game work? How is it different from other dice games? How’s the game interface and features?

We can say that the game is just like a typical dice game. Playing is similar to how it is done with other dice gambling sites. You just have to enter your bet amount, change the Payout and/or Win Chance as you prefer, and click on the Roll Dice button.

There’s almost no waiting time for the game result. After clicking on the Roll Dice button, you will immediately see whether you win or lose at the My Bets list below the game. If you win, your prize is automatically added to your balance. We wish Primedice could add some animation or maybe a little prompt to tell winners if they win or lose. The system currently in place seems so dull and takes away some of the excitement in playing the game. A little game animation similar to what Rollin.io has would be a good addition to Primedice.

Primedice is not without some extra features, though. For one, you can change the way the game interface looks by switching to a different theme through the Change Theme button near the upper right corner of the page. It also has a live chat section for players. Additionally, it comes with an Automated Betting function. It is perhaps one of the best automated betting function available on a dice gambling site we have encountered. It allows you to set a maximum number of rolls and increase the bet by a certain percentage or return the bet to the base number when a roll results in a loss or a win.

Moreover, Primedice features hotkeys for playing. They are disabled by default. Click on the Enable Hotkeys text to the right of the game to activate these hotkeys.

Primedice Game Hotkeys

Primedice Game Software, Fairness, and House Edge

The software used is proprietary Primedice software. This software enables a provably fair game. If you need to verify the result of a dice roll, just click on the Provably Fair button (the button with the “justice weighing scale” icon). Doing so will display the details on the client seed and server seed SHA-256 hash on the left part of the game. Go to the Verify page of Primedice (the link is near the upper right corner of the site) for the details on how you can test the fairness of the game.

Primedice has a house edge of 1%, which the site brags as the lowest for a dice site. It actually isn’t. There are a few sites that offer lower house edge.

Primedice Is Mobile Friendly

Mobile-Friendly Website

Primedice has a mobile-friendly website. It automatically adjusts to the the size of the display of the device viewing it. There are no iOS or Android mobile apps for Primedice but the mobile-friendly website suffices in providing a good mobile playing experience.

Currencies, Deposits, Withdrawals, and Fees on Primedice

Primedice only uses bitcoins at the moment. Deposits require at least one confirmation before they get credited. Withdrawals, on the other hand, are only sent once there are no more unconfirmed deposits in a player’s account. A withdrawal transaction fee of 0.0002 BTC is charged on every withdrawal and is automatically deducted from the amount being withdrawn. The Primedice site does not state minimum and maximum limits for deposits and withdrawals. What’s stated is the maximum payout, which is 30 BTC for individual bet.

Primedice does not have play money or the usual FUN currency that can be used to try the game but there is a bitcoin faucet (more details below).

No Deposit Bonuses But there’s a Bitcoin Faucet, ‘White Hat Bounty,’ and an Affiliate Program

Primedice does not offer bonuses on deposits. However, it provides a number of opportunities for earnings other than through the game prizes.

Primedice has a bitcoin faucet. It’s the lowermost button you can find on the column of buttons to the left of the game. This bitcoin faucet grants 0.000002 BTC or 200 satoshis to all new players. The amount of satoshis granted by this faucet increases as the player level advances. The amount provided by the faucet increases as the Level of a player increases. You can check your player Level by going to your account dashboard, to your Profile in particular. Find the Achievements section to see your player level and to find out how you can attain the different player levels on the site. You can advance to a higher player level by placing more wagers and bets, earning more profits, sending messages on the player chat board, referring new players to the site, earning referral commissions, and maintaining your account longer (loyalty achievement).

Primedice also has a White Hat Bounty program, which is essentially a reward program for those who find bugs in the Primedice software. The reward under this program is based on the seriousness of the discovered bug. To report a bug, you need to send an email to player support at .

Additionally, Primedice has an affiliate program. You don’t have to sign up for this program. Just go to the lowermost section of your Profile to find your affiliate link and the link for your affiliate dashboard. This affiliate program grants a 10% commission of the house edge. That’s 10% of the 1% house edge.

Player Support and Site Languages

Player support on Primedice is only through email. You can send your inquiries or requests for assistance to support@primedice.com. You may also use the online email sending form on the site by clicking on the Help link on the upper right corner of the site. We tried sending a message but we failed to get a reply. Primedice probably does not provide 24/7 support.

Primedice is available in two languages: English and Russian. At the time we were doing this Primedice review, the site language toggle on the upper right corner of the page was not working. The language selector for the chat board was working, though.

Primedice Player Support

Country Restrictions

We contacted Primedice regarding player restrictions based on their country or location. We were told that players from the United States and the United Kingdom are not allowed to make bitcoin deposits on Primedice because of legal prohibitions. However, they may use the free bitcoin faucet to play.

Primedice License, Security, and Player Anonymity

Primedice does not mention anything about its license on its website. There’s also no information about the security measures employed to protect accounts and transactions. However, it is implied in the site that players on Primedice can play anonymously. There are no proofs of identity required when making deposits or withdrawals.

Pros

  • Minimum bet is only 1 satoshi
  • Free bitcoin faucet
  • Provably fair game
  • Mobile-friendly
  • Anonymous playing

Cons

  • No live chat support
  • Slightly dull game interface. The themes available look almost the same.
  • No bonuses.
